Gujarat horror: Woman raped, forced to take abortion pills by bank worker

A man working as a sales representative for a bank’s credit card section allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on multiple occasions in Gujarat’s Surat. For that reason of alleged sexual assault the woman became pregnant, after which the accused forced her to consume abortion pills.

The woman, interior designer by profession, registerd a police complaint with the Pandesara Police on Monday. Based on her complaint, the cops charged the accused, identified as Hemachandra Dayma, aged 29, for rape and launched a probe.


As maintained by the police, the accused, a native of Udhna, is married and has a child. The complainant came in contact with him a year back when he called her up for offering her a credit card. The two, subsequeltly started interacting.

The accused told the woman that he was not married and started a relationship with her. The man started pressuring her to engage in sexual activities. He took the woman to a hotel and sexually assaulted her many times.

The woman, some weeks back, informed Dayma that she had become pregnant. After this, he forced her to take abortion pills. The woman, later, found out that he is married and has a child. Feeling cheated, she went to the police with her complaint against the man.

This comes days after a minor girl was allegedly raped by a 26-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor. The accused, named Shahbaz, carried out the crime when the minor was going to school.

The accused allegedly enticed the minor to a dilapidated structure and sexually assaulted her.

The minor survivor later went back home and told her parents about the horrifying incident, following which a case was filed and the accused was taken into police custody.
