Female relative forces minor girl to get involved in prostitution

In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly forced a minor girl to get involved in prostitution in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh.

The woman is the family relative of a minor girl. She brought the minor girl from Bihar to UP and forced her into prostitution.


However, the minor girl was timely rescued by a joint team of the city magistrate, Ballia cops, and Child Welfare Committee officials told.

According to a report in timesnownews.com, the family of the minor girl informed the CWC officials about their relative who had taken their minor daughter to UP’s Ballia and was pressurizing her to get involved in prostitution. The caller also informed the CWC officials about the place where the minor was kept.

After the phone call, the CWC officials immediately informed the police and formed a joint team to rescue the girl.

The team raided the accused woman’s place under the territorial limits of the Kotwali police station and rescued the minor girl and arrested the woman.

Meanwhile, the girl was sent to a protection home after being produced before the CWC.

A case was registered against the woman under IPC sections 366A (procuration of a minor girl and 322 (voluntary causing hurt).
