A 22-year-old man has been taken into custody by Delhi Police for allegedly murdering his friend following an argument. The incident happened in Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri area. The deceased has been identified as Shekhar Kharka.

The accused murdered Shekhar after he allegedly made a comment on his ex-wife, who is now in a relationship with another man.

According to a report in Times of India, the accused, identified as Tilak Bahadur is a native of Nepal. He was nabbed by the cops while he was trying to flee the country.

The victim, a resident of Nepal’s Aanchal Sagarmaatha, was found dead in his room in Aya Nagar on Monday.

"During the course of investigation, we came to know that the victim was a roommate of the accused Tilak Bahadur. Bahadur was found absconding and he became a prime suspect. The accused was likely to flee to Nepal. So teams were dispatched to three different borders of India-Nepal. Around 4 pm on Tuesday, the suspect was caught following a tip-off from Sarda Bairaj check-post in Uttarakhand as he tried to flee," the report quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, Atul Thakur.

In another incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, a Delhi man shot dead his 65-year-old father-in-law. The accused was identified as Trilok Singh Bhati.

According to police, the daughter of the victim was married to Bhati. Soon after the marrage, Bhati started doubtng his wife of having an extra-marital affair which led to persistent arguments between the couple. Their family did everything to resolve their differences but they failed.

A few days ago, the woman came to live with her parents in Ghaziabad against the will of Bhati. This probably angered him, and he decided to kill her father, a police officer said.
