Coronavirus case in India: Kerala student diagnose with deadly virus

One positive case of coronavirus confirmed in India, as per the Ministry of Health reports said. A student from Kerala has been diagnosed with the deadly virus that spread from China.

As per the reports of India Today, the patient is a student at Wuhan University, China. The statement released by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of India said that the student is from Kerala.


“The patient has tested positive for novel coronavirus and is in isolation in the hospital. The patient is stable and is being closely monitored,” the statement said.

 

The 2019-novel coronavirus (2019- nCoV) epidemic has become a serious concerned for health experts as it has started spreading across the world. However, the origin of Coronavirus was from China’s Wuhan city in early December 2019 and till now over 170 people were killed so far.

Meanwhile, Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja called an emergency meeting with the health secretary and other officials from the Directorate of Health Services to tackle the situation.

According to the reports of India Today, one person each from Thrissur, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, and Malappuram and three from Ernakulam district have been kept in isolation wards of various health centers, news agency PTI reported.
