Chennai man lures children with chocolates, shows them adult content

In a shocking incident reported from Chennai, an elderly (68) man was taken into police custody and was later sent to judicial custody over complaints of showing pornographic content to minor kids here on Saturday.

The accused used to lure kids with chocolates and then showed porn to them. The police were alerted about the incident by the mother of a minor girl, who worked as a caretaker for the accused.


In her compliant the woman stated that the accused, identified as Pushparaj, gave chocolates to her daughter and later his mobile phone for playing games.

Then the accused compelled the 12-year-old girl to watch adult content on the phone. According to a report, the girl told her mother that the accused had also sexually abused her.

The woman stood up to the accused after she came to know about the episode, following which she also found pornographic content on his mobile phone.

In the meantime, the cops have lodged a complaint against the accused, under the Information Technology (IT) Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to police the accused had earlier sexually abused three other minor girls as well.

In another incident reported from Telangana’s Warangal district, a six-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by two minor boys.

As per the police, the accused and the victim are relatives. The incident took place on 24th February when the 6-year-old girl had gone to collect jujube fruits. The two boys, who went along with the victim, allegedly raped her at an isolated spot.

Later, the minor girl made a complain about a pain, after which she was taken to a hospital. In due course, she also revealed what had happened to her.
