Bihar: 27-year-old man uploads child pornographic material on social media

In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old man has been arrested by Gujarat Police on Sunday, for uploading and sharing child pornographic material from his phone.

The accused man has been identified as Guddu Kumar Rai. He was arrested from Kadi town in Mehsana.


According to the police, the accused is a resident of the Sarpanch colony of Rajpur village under the Kadi town of Mehsana. He got arrested by a police team from Kalol city police station.

Guddu Rai is a daily wage worker in Mehsana. He has been booked under sections of the Information Technology Act, Indian Express reported.

The police took action against Guddu after Gandhinagar-based Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) confirmed that there was pornographic material on his phone.

According to the police, the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) filed a complaint on February 6 this year that a mobile phone in Kalol city has been used to upload and share the child pornographic material. The phone of the accused was seized on January 28 and then sent for the FSL test.

The test revealed that the phone was having child pornographic contents after which the accused got arrested, a police officer said.
