22-year-old man murders toddler by drowning him in water tanker, reason will shock you

The cops have taken a 22-year-old man into their custody for alleged murder of an 18-month-old toddler by drowning him in a water tanker in Haryana’s Faridabad. As stated by the police, the accused committed the crime over an altercation with the kid’s father for over Rs 50.

The kid was murdered six months back on 5th Febuary and an FIR was registered the next day. The accused used to live in the same locality as the victim, according to the Indian Express.


The accused was taken into police custody on Saturday and has been named as Naresh. He is jobless and a drug addict, said police.

“In the time of interrogation, the accused admitted to have committed the crime. He said that the kids father, and he would often get into argument over different issues. Two days before the crime, the accused grabbed Rs 50 from the complainant’s 8-year-oldd daughter, because of which the two got into a fight,” said police.

The accused held a grudge against the complainant becaused of the vary reason, on 5th February, when he saw his 18-month-old kid playing all by himself, he abducted the kid and took him to his house. Later, he took him to the terrace of the house and drowned him in the water tank. The accused then closed the tanker using a wire so that his crime would not be discovered, police added.

When the victim’s parents could not find him they began looking for him and eventually found him in the water tank.

The accused after committing the horrific crime ran away from the crime spot and changed his location all the time in order to evade the cops. He was later caught with the help of technical support and sources.

The accused has been sent to judicial custody.
