Monsoon is already going on and currently, the nation is witnessing weak rainy conditions, in fact, in some parts of north India, rain is yet to come. Monsoon confined to West Coast and northeastern states only.

In absence of any major weather system and a predominance of dry northwesterly winds, we do not expect any advancement of Southwest Monsoon for at least the next 4-5 days.

Southwest Monsoon has not made any advancements due to which the NLM continues to pass through Thane including Mumbai, Amravati, Titlagarh and Cuttack. In fact, conditions do not seem favourable for Monsoon's further advancement during the next few days as well.

The trough extending from North Interior parts of Karnataka up to Kerala Coast would give moderate to heavy rainfall in Southern Peninsula. Karnataka and some parts of Kerala will receive heavy rainfall.

A light shower is also likely in Mumbai, while hot and dry spell weather will persist in Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Isolated showers are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, in plains, the hot and dry weather will continue over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
