Himachal Pradesh receives fresh snowfall, IMD predicts light shower in Delhi

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its recent report said that a new western disturbance is likely to effect northwest India from February 28. It is likely to trigger scattered to moderate shower or snowfall over the Western Himalayan region during February 28 till March 2.

Himachal’s Shimla district received fresh spell of snowfall today, The entire region was seen covered in a thick blanket of snow. according to the weather department, Delhi is also likely to receive light isolated shower on February 25 and 26. Light rain over the weekend is likely to keep the maximum temperature from soaring to 30 degrees Celsius.


The weather agency has also predicted light rainfall in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.

Furthermore, the IMD has predicted scattered light to moderate shower along with thunderstorm and lightning over Western Himalyan region during the next two days. the state of Uttarakhand is also likely to receive isolated hailstorms during the next 2 days.
