Bhai Dooj Puja 2021: Two days after Diwali, people celebrate the Bhai Dooj festival, also known as Yama Dwitiya. It is celebrated on the Dwitiya Tithi, Shukla Paksha (Waxing Phase of the Moon) in the Hindu month of Kartik.

Bhai Dooj is the last festival of Diwali week. On this day, brothers visit their sister’s home for the puja and sisters do tilak on their foreheads.

Bhai Dooj Tithi: Date & Time

This year, Bhai Dooj will be celebrated on November 5. The dwitiya tithi will start at 11:14 pm and will end at 07:44 pm on November 6.

Sisters can perform Bhai Dooj rituals between 01:10 pm to 03:21 pm.

While performing puja, sisters are advised to chant the following mantra for the wealth and prosperity of their brothers.

Ganga puje Yamuna ko, Yami puje Yamraj ko, Subhadra puje Krishna ko,
Ganga Yamuna Neer Bahe, Mere Bhai aap badhein, phule phalein.
