It has been almost 100 days since US President Donald Trump announced his new policy on Afghanistan and South Asia. During this, Trump had asked Pakistan to take stringent action against the Taliban but there has been no change in Pakistan so far.

In Afghanistan, the international security forces and US commanders have said that so far Pakistan has not taken any action on Taliban network and this organization is still active in Pakistan.

According to CNN, on Tuesday, General John Nicholson gave this information through the video link to the Pentagon.

“We have not seen those changes implemented yet,” Gen. John Nicholson told reporters Tuesday at the Pentagon via a video link.

“We are hoping to see those changes. We are hoping to work together with the Pakistanis going forward to eliminate terrorists who are crossing the Durand Line,” Nicholson said, using another name for the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

Nicholson said, “We look forward to seeing those changes. We look forward to working with Pakistan for the elimination of terrorists crossing the Afghan-Pak border.”
