Pak army chief-designate Qamar Javed Bajwa has no social media presence

At a time, when social media has gained so much importance, with almost every major decision being announced via this platform, Pakistan's army chief-designate Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa has no presence on it.

Notably, this clarification was issued by the Pakistan Army through social media.

Pakistan's Inter-Services Press Relations (ISPR) chief, Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa tweeted to announce that any accounts under army chief-designate's name are fake.

The announcement came just a day after Lieutenant General Bajwa was appointed as the country's new chief of army staff, succeeding General Raheel Sharif, who retires on 29 November.
