An Emirates flight, traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai, crash-landed and burst into flames at Dubai International airport on the afternoon of 3 August. According to reports, all 275 members on board have been safely evacuated and no injuries have been reported.
All Dubai flights have been diverted to Maktoum International Airport or Sharjah International Airport. Additionally, all departure flights from Dubai International Airport have been delayed until further notice, local media reported.
"Emirates can confirm that an incident happened at Dubai International Airport on August 3 at about 12.45pm local time. There were 275 passengers and a crew on board. Our main priority now is the safety and well-being of all involved," an Emirates spokesperson was quoted as saying.
The reason for the crash has not yet been ascertained.
