Why has Sara Khan replaced Maheck Chahal on Kawach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se?
Kawach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se, featuring Mona Singh and Maheck Chahal in the lead has been well received by the audience ever since it took over the Naagin weekend slot on the channel.
The show is about an evil spirit -- Manjulika, possessing Paridhi (played by Singh), to harm her husband and the drama that unfolds in the family.
However, the latest development in the show will surprise everyone. The makers have reportedly decided to replace Maheck Chahal with Sara Khan on the show.
But Maheck was well liked by the audience and there had been no rumours regarding her fall out with the makers.
The development stems from the fact that Maheck is not in the best of health. The Bigg Boss 5 actress tore her ligament and fractured a knee in an accident a few days ago. And even though she tried shooting for a few episodes, her health is taking a toll on her now.
Therefore, Sara Khan has reportedly been roped in. However, Maheck seemed unaware about this sudden development and told a leading daily:
"I'm not aware of this news. This show is important for me and I would have liked to continue. Of course, my health is priority. I want to meet the producer, Ekta Kapoor, to update her personally about my status. My physiotherapist was shocked to learn that I had been shooting despite being advised complete bed rest."
Now, we are not sure whether Sara Khan has been roped in to feature in a few episodes until Maheck recovers. But whether the development will lead to yet another Shilpa Shinde-like controversy, is the question!
