In case you were off somewhere doing better things, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts 2016 took place early this morning. British television may lose the popularity polls to its silver-screen counterpart, but that doesn't mean the award show didn't have the usual glitz and glamour.

The ceremony was hosted by Graham Norton, who for the record, lost to Leigh Francis' Celebrity Juice in the 'Entertainment Performance' category. Wolf Hall, The Great British Bake Off, Peter Kay's Car Share were the big winners of the night.

Hollywood and British silver screen superstars attended the gala event with Idris Elba, Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Tom Hiddleston, and Josh Hartnett leading the pack and adding considerably to the eye-candy quotient.
