The ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha Challenge’ is gaining a lot of popularity as celebrities from both Bollywood and Telly-world are uploading pictures on their social media accounts to join the ‘lipstick rebellion’ challenge. Another addition to the list is ‘Naagin 2’ star Karanvir Bohra who took this rebellion to another level by wearing lipstick and breaking all stereotypes.
Yes! It's right. The actor has now joined Ekta Kapoor’s ‘lipstick rebellion'. He shared a picture with his wife on his Instagram account and captioned it as, “They told my wife managing one baby is hard enough, you will never be able to manage two! We said, ‘TAKE THAT!’ More power to you @bombaysunshine and wishing my other favorite superwoman @ektaravikapoor all the best for the lipstick rebellion! #lipstickundermyburqua #lipstickrebellionbegins”
He also gained a lot of praises from his fans for taking such a step and breaking stereotypes.
It's not only Karanvir but other male celebrities have also joined this campaign. Check out their pictures.
Women should not need to fight for equality, they are far more superior than men. Real men know that, own that & take pride in the women of their lives. For all those who think otherwise #takethat Thank you @ektaravikapoor for giving light to #lipstickundermyburkha I'm already taking pride in you & this film. A must watch, 21st July! #lipstickrebellion
I am terribly fortunate to be surrounded by women who are not just better, stronger, wiser but women who constantly make me want to be a better man/ professional/human. Thanks @gulenaghmakhan for breaking the chain & having me wield this baton (lipstick) of sorts which we collectively as men must take up, show up & be counted. Kudos to @ektaravikapoor & Alankrita for through their work, life & now art have given us this wake up call. . I am determined to never be afraid to speak up. I will not SHUT UP when I need to take a stand. Often men are afraid to speak up. They feel it's not worth risking a mistake and be accused of wrongdoing. Sometimes the worst thing a man can be in our society is wrong. Because it means he’s vulnerable and fallible. We need men who are willing to let go of their sense of authority and embrace fragility. We need men who are used to getting their way, to stop trying to dominate everyone and everything. We need men willing to be humble and courageous at the same time. .. We need men who are going to be compassionate yet willing to stand up. We need men who are going to dedicate themselves to social & even more importantly human revolution, both within themselves and in their everyday interactions and relationships. We need to be proud FEMINIST men not for anybody else but for ourselves. For our collective human race! Can we? #LipstickUnderMyBurkha #MenForLipstick #Lipstickrevolution
#MenForLipstick .... lets not forget that it takes a Woman to Make a Man .. a Son, a Husband, a Father, and all other titles that men can boast of. Im sure my buddies @rohitreddygoa @shabirahluwalia @kkundrra @alygoni Agree with me ...! @ektaravikapoor thankyou for teaching us that accepting a woman as equal is what makes a man a Real Man ...!
