Kanpur Wale Khuranas: Naagin fame Adaa Khan has a very special role in Sunil Grover’s new show
It’s good to try different genres in acting and some actresses both in Bollywood and Television industry want to put their best foot forward and try each and every thing that comes in their way and similar is the scene with Adaa Khan who rose to fame when she played the pivotal role of Shesha in Ekta Kapoor’s popular show Naagin and Naagin 2 along with Mouni Roy. The actress is now quite excited as she is soon going to be seen in a new avatar.
Adaa, who is all set to make a comeback through Colors TV new show Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara will also going to be seen playing a crucial role in comedian Sunil Grover’s new show Kanpur Wale Khuranas. Adaa will be seen playing the role of Sunil’s wife that obviously sounds as a crucial role. The show will also mark the TV debut of Bollywood actor Kunal Khemu.
Adaa has previously done shows like Comedy Nights Bachao and The Great Indian Family Drama in her career and so it seems as if she will be able to carry on the role quite well. Talking further about the show, the story will revolve around Sunil and his and his six attractive sister-in-laws. It will show how major happenings take place in the lives of jija-saali and the effect on his family life with Adaa.
The show will air for over 8 weeks, happening on every weekend and having a stretch of 16 episodes. Talking about Khemu’s role, it is definitely going to be an exciting one and the actor too is also excited about the same. Talking about the same, he told a Media portal, “I am both nervous and excited, as it’s a new space that I am exploring. I have known the makers, Neeti and Preeti Simoes, since a long time.”
He further said, “They would always joke that we should do something together, as they felt that I am fun and natural. I took this up because it’s not a long-term commitment. Besides, it will also help me test waters and give me an opportunity to understand the medium. I would also get to know how comedy shows work on TV, because I have always been on the other side of the fence.”
Not just Sunil, Adaa and Kunal the show will also have Upasna Singh and Ali Asgar. It will air on Star Plus at 9 PM every weekend. Talking about Kapil Sharma, he is also going to make a comeback on the screen through the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show which will air on December 23 after his marriage with his long time girlfriend Ginni Chatharth. Even Bharti Singh is coming up with her own show Bharti Ka Show: Aana Hi Padega, produced by husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
