Diya Aur Baati Hum actress Deepika Singh has recently spilled the beans about her fat to fit journey. In an interview with ETimes TV, the actress revealed how she got brutally trolled for her weight gain due to pregnancy.

She told that nasty comments on social media pushed her to go gym regularly and helped her in regaining her old fit and slim body. Social media users attacked her with body-shaming comments and even said that nobody will cast her in a lead role.

Deepika Singh’s experience on body shaming:

"I have been trolled a lot on social media, especially for my weight gain. After giving birth to my son Soham I was 73 kgs and I had randomly shared a picture of mine without thinking much and it was my birthday, they started writing nasty stuff about me. They did not even think twice that it was my birthday. They started saying 'you are such a big actress, you should have waited', 'now you won't get any role', 'nobody will take her in a lead role', 'look at her how bad she is looking'."

The Kawach 2 actress also said that these negative comments motivated her and she put them as her phone wallpaper so that she would not deter from her goal.

Deepika said, “But I took all these negative comments very seriously and that actually helped me to go to the gym regularly. It didn't matter, if I didn't sleep in night, I regularly went to the gym. I took screenshots of all those comments and kept them as a wallpaper on my phone.”

She also added that whenever she felt lazy these comments helped her to go the gym.

“I did cardio a lot and did cycling. I started enjoying working out and I started watching my diet as well. Ultimately, I proved them (the trolls) wrong," Deepika said.

Deepika Singh made her debut with Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus. The show hit the TRP chart and the actress garnered huge popularity for her acting.
