Bigg Boss' ex-contestant Swami Om passes away

Bigg Boss 10 fame contestant Swami Om passed away today. The self-proclaimed godman took his last breath at his residence at DLF Ankur Vihar located in Loni, NCR.

According to media reports, Swami Om had contracted the novel coronavirus three months ago, which has affected his health badly since then. However, he had tested negative later, but he couldn’t walk properly even after recovery from COVID-19.


According to Zee News, Bigg Boss 10 ex-player's friend Mukesh Jain also confirmed his demise news. "Due to paralysis, half of his body was paralysed", he added.

His last rites will be performed in Delhi today.

The 63-year-old man came to the limelight after his appearance in Salman Khan’s controversial show Bigg Boss. The self-proclaimed godman also hit headlines for his antics during the show. The most shocking thing he did on the show was throwing his pee on co-contestant Bani J during a task. His activities also left Salman Khan in anger and asked him to leave the show.

After leaving the show, Swami Om also spoke against Salman Khan and Bigg Boss on numerous occasions. He had also threatened to damage the set along with his followers.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Swami Om in connection with his controversial statement on the privacy issue in 2017.
