Honor 5C with 5.2-inch screen, 13MP camera, 8MP selfie snapper launched

Smartphone venture Honor, a sub-brand of Chinese tech-giant Huawei, has launched its new smartphone, the Honor 5C, in the international market.

There will be two variants of the smartphone. The 3G enabled phone is priced at at CNY 899 (around Rs 9,000) and the 4G model will be available at CNY 999 (approximate Rs 10,250). The phone is now available to buy in the Chinese market.

Specifications of the Honor 5C

  • A 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS LCD display
  • The dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE, micro USB connectivity
  • Powered by HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core processor clocked at 4x Cortex A53 on 1.7GHz and 4x Cortex A53 on 2GHz chipset
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16GB in-built storage; expanded up to 128GB
  • A 13-megapixel rear and a 8-megapixel front camera
  • A fingerprint scanner
  • The phone measures 147.1x73.8x8.3mm and weighs 156 grams
  • Packs a 3000mAh battery
  • Runs on Emotion UI 4.1 skin based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS
  • The smartphone supports LTE Cat 6 - that gives upload speeds of up to 50Mbps and downloading speed of up to 300Mbps.
