Good news for people who booked cheapest mobile ‘Freedom 251’ and suffered loss, maker arrested in a serious case; read details

The maker of cheapest smartphone ‘Freedom 251’ Mohit Goel, who had announced to launch a smartphone in just Rs 251 named Freedom 251 smartphones. Three persons were arrested on Sunday on the accusation that they tried to extort money from a businessman to settle a gang rape case. Mohit Goel partnered with a Noida based firm Ringing bells to develop Freedom 251.

According to the police a woman registered case on March 6 in Alwar district of Rajasthan alleging that she was raped by five businessmen. According to her she was called in a hotel to attend an event but there she was gang-raped by the five businessmen, police had arrested all the five accused. The names of the other arrested persons other than Mohit Goel would be revealed after the police enquiry.


The Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Aslam Khan informed that “The police have arrested three members of a gang, who were trying to extort money to settle a rape case registered by one of them against the brother of the complainant and others in Rajasthan,”


The Netaji Subhash Place police station received a complaint against a group of people for allegedly extorting money from an accused businessman. According to the complaint Mohit Goel allegedly demanded Rs 5 crore from the businessman for settling the case.
Mohit Goel and other culprits reached at the businessman office to collect the money and arrested by the police on spot.
