DO NOT CLICK: WhatsApp group video-calling invite is fraud!
WhatsApp rolled out its video-calling feature this week on iOS, Windows and Android devices. The feature can be downloaded through an update available to all users. However, this has opened new ways for scamsters to circulate malicious links asking users to download group video calling update.
The link invites users to join group video calling feature. WhatsApp has not yet made this feature official.
The malicious link reads, "You're invited to try WhatsApp Video Calling feature. Only people with the invitation can enable this feature." Once you click on the link, it will ask you to invite more friends to join.
These links might expose you to hackers and cyber criminals and give away details like personal contacts, mails, documents etc.
