Airtel comes up with most affordable Rs 179 prepaid plan with built-in life insurance cover

India’s global telecommunications services company, Bharat Airtel has announced its most affordable Rs 179 prepaid plan with a built-in life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh.

The plan will be priced at only Rs 179 and it comes with unlimited calling to any network, 2 GB data, 300 SMS and comes with a validity of 28 days, nevertheless, the significant benefit that the plan offers is a life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh from Bharat AXA Life Insurance. This is by a long shot a reasonable way to secure yourself and your family.


Speaking about the plan, Chief Marketing Officer of Airtel, Shashwat Sharma stated, "The Rs. 179 recharge will offer one of the simplest and most accessible platforms to hundreds of millions of Indians to financially secure themselves and their families while staying connected on Airtel’s world-class network."

The plan is created for people who are new smart phone users and don’t require much data on their phones. If they use their phones only for calling, then this is most suited plan as it offers unlimited calling to any network.

The Rs 179 plan is obtainable for people aged between 18-54 and it call for no paper work or medical test, unlike other life insurance plan. Speaking about the perks of the plan, Managing Director and CEO of Bharti AXA Life Insurance Vikas Seth said, "Our partnership ensures life insurance cover to every customer with each recharge and helps them leverage its benefits. We are confident that the alliance will also strengthen insurance penetration in the country."

The policy certificate will be furnished to the customers digitally and a hard copy can also be obtained on solicitation. It will be activated with every recharge and a customer will be able to lay hold of its perks.

Be that as it may, this move by Airtel will help them attract more customers and help them in earning better revenue.
