#INDvPAK | Pakistan cautious and India finding their feet in early stages, but who will win the match?

Pakistan has gotten off to a cautious start in the Group 2 match of the ICC World T20 in Kolkata, losing the wickets of Sharjeel Khan for 17 off 24 balls and Ahmed Shehzad who was caught off the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah. Skipper Shahid Afridi has promoted himself up the order, going in to bat at number 3, with Umar Akmal following after him.

But the real question is, who will win this crucial tie. The wicket seems to be spinning a lot and Indian spinners seem dominant at the moment, but Pakistan's spin armoury is also not one to be written off. The wicket is likelier to turn even more in the second innings, which means the Indian batsmen might find it even more difficult to deal with the Pakistani bowling. But in this respect largely, the contest seems to be equal.

Where India might have the mental edge against Pakistan is the experience of having played them before in similar pressure situations in past world cups, and getting the better of their neighbours. However, it all depends on the total that Pakistan post on the board. Anything around 130, and the Indian batsmen would back themselves to chase the total down. Anything in excess of that, and the match might turn into a high pressure scenario in front of an expectant Eden crowd.

And take into account that Pakistan have never lost to India at Eden Gardens, it would seem that Pakistan have the edge. It all depends on which scenario one is looking at. The Indian fans would be hoping that luck and skill favours the men in blue today.
