Boundaries do not restrict talent and creativity. And 18-year-old Niranjan Suthar, a class XII student of Ahor, a small city in Jalore district of Rajasthan, has proved this with his unique 'Shaking Hand Device'- an electronic gadget that helps women feel safer.

Though there are several mobile applications and devices to provide a sense of safety to women, this device by Niranjan is one-of-its kind. Apparently, it is designed to give an electric shock to the person who tries to molest a woman wearing the device.

This is how the device works; it needs to be worn on the hand and when the person senses danger, she has to activate the device by clicking the switch on button. When she touches her eve teaser, he will get an electric shock that will render him unconscious for 10 minutes.

"Every day there are so many cases of rape and molestation. Women do not feel safe anymore. Therefore, I have decided to make a device that provides protection to women and makes them feel that they are no longer vulnerable" said Niranjan.

Interestingly, a 3.4 volt battery has been installed inside the gadget. It can last for 20 days even with 10 minutes of charging. There is also a SIM in the device through which message will be sent to the selected mobile numbers so that immediate help can be provided.

Currently, the device is in the trial stage and has been sent to a research centre in New Delhi for further examination. The device has also won the first prize at the local science fair.
