If you are planning to head out somewhere on January 31, 2018 then it might be possible that you will have to shed all your plans because as per the latest reports, a very unusual astronomical event is going to take place and that too after a gap of 150 years and yes we are talking about a total blue lunar eclipse and you will get to see a 'super blue-blood moon' on January 31.

It is being said that this will be a very unique process that was seen 152 years ago on March 31, 1866 and will not be seen for 11 years until December 31, 2028. The sky will witness a combination of three moons viz a super moon, a blue moon and a blood moon in the sky. The super moon occurs when the moon is very close to the earth. Talking about the blue moon and the blood moon, the former is the second full moon that takes place in a monthe while the later is the red colour in which the moon appears when it is at the peak of the lunar eclipse.

A research scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Noah Petro, during a telephonic interview given to the Indian Express said, “Just having these three things simultaneously occur is unusual. A blue moon is not extremely rare but it’s a nice coincidence that it happens in conjunction with these other two.”
