According to reports, a mysterious unidentified flying object (UFO) was sighted flying over Indian Space and Research Organisation's Mahendragiri centre and nearby areas.
The police said that shepherds grazing cattle spotted the mysterious object flying in the sky near cryogenic testing centre of ISRO on 13 December.
News reports further suggest that ISRO has denied any such sightings. The ISRO centre at Mahendragiri is 55 kms away from Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu.
According to IBNLive, "Police said the shepherds had told them that the object flew near the seventh watch tower, where no one had been posted for a long time."
The forest department officials, police and ISRO officials are interrogating the shepherds to know what did they exactly see.
ISRO is gearing up to launch 6 Singapore satellites on 16 December.
