50 days of Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya: Unni Mukundan delivers hat-trick after KL 10 and Style
Unni Mukundan starrer Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya has successfully completed its 50-day theatrical run today. The romantic-entertainer released on 27 May 2016.
The film marks the directorial debut of Sajan K Mathew and Malayalam cinema debut of actress Prayaga Rose Martin - who made waves with her performance in 2014's Tamil supernatural film Pisasu. The films also stars Sanusha who plays the second female lead.
Upon its release, OMVP faced stiff competition from the Kunchacko Boban-Jayasurya starrer School Bus and Yodhavu, the Malayalam dubbed version of Allu Arjun's Telugu blockbusterSarrainodu. But the Mallu Singh actor's film showed good hold across the cinemas thanks to his performance and positive reviews from the audience. The film has been praised for Abhilash Sreedharan's script and soulful music from Vinu Thomas as well. The song Arikil Pathiyefeaturing Unni and Parayaga has become an instant hit among the youth.
