Dusshera 2016 saw the release of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's Pulimurugan at the Kerala Box Office.
The action-entertainer has opened to earth-shattering collections by minting over Rs 25 crore in the opening week itself. The film has also broken the all-time highest first week collection set by Rajinikanth's Kabali at the Kerala Box Office.
It has now been confirmed that Rajesh P Pillai from Abhishek Films has bought all the Indian languages rights of Pulimurugan from producer Tomichan Mulakuppadam for a record price. Pillai is keen to remake the Lalettan blockbuster in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
According to the latest reports, Prabhas of Baahubali fame is being considered for the Telugu - Tamil bilingual remake, while Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for the Hindi remake. News of the remake has spread like wildfire on social media.
The Vysakh-directorial also stars Jagapati Babu, Kamalini Mukherjee, Lal and Namitha.
