Villain : Mohanlal, B Unnikrishnan film set to be the biggest ever Malayalam release in Kerala

The final schedule of Mohanlal's upcoming film Villain is currently underway in Chennai. Directed By B Unni Krishnan and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, the maker of Salman Khan hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the film stars the Malayalam actor in the titular role of a retired cop, Mathew Manjooran. Villain stars Manju Warrier in the female lead and also marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil actors Vishal, Hansika Motwani and Telugu actress Raashi Khanna of Madras Cafe fame.

While the film is getting ready for its theatrical release on July 21, the makers have revealed an interesting update on the film's release.

Reportedly, the makers are planning to release the film in a record number of 250 plus screens across the Kerala. Apart from Baahubali 2, none of the films has managed to bag 250 plus screens in Kerala.

Villain will be the fifth collaboration of Mohanlal and Manju Warrier after Aaram Thampuran, Kanmadham, Summer In Bethlahem and Ennum Eppozhum. The film
will also see film producer Antony Perumbavoor in a cameo role of a police officer.
