Vijay 61 : Ilayathalapathy - Atlee film starts rolling today

Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer of 2017 starts rolling on Wednesday in Chennai. Tentatively titled Vijay 61, the action-entertainer marks the collaboration of Vijay and director Atlee after the 2016 blockbuster Theri. The film is also the 100th film of Thenandal Films. The film stars three leading heroines; Jyothika, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Reportedly, Atlee is planning to shoot the combination scenes of Vijay and Jyothika in the ongoing schedule in Chennai. The film also marks the third outing of the Vijay-Jyothika duo after Kushi and Thirumalai. Interestingly, Vijay 61 will also see the third collaboration of Vijay with other two female leads, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Vijay had earlier collaborated with Kajal Aggarwal for Thuppaki and Jilla and with Samantha for Kaththi and Theri.

Vijay 61 was in news ever since the technicians names were announced. The music of the film has been composed by Oscar winning composer AR Rahman, and the story is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame.
