Vidya Balan returns to Mollywood as Kamala Surayya

Bollywood actor Vidya Balan is all set to return to Malayalam Cinema after a gap of 5 years. The National Award Winning actor was last seen in the Malayalam film Urumi in 2011. The new film will be a biopic of the late author Kamala Surayya, remembered for her poetry.

The movie will be directed by veteran director Kamal. As a director, he will be achieving the milestone of 30 years in Malayalam industry with this film. His first film was Mizhineerppoovukal in 1986 starring Mohanlal and Urvashi.

The Dirty Picture star who just bagged Kahaani sequel, is excited to return to her mother tongue. The title and the remaining cast of the film is not yet announced.

However, according to the latest update, audience can witness all the important stages of Kamala Surraya's life, including her wedding to banker Madhava Das at the age of 15, the debut of her autobiography 'Ente Kadha' at the age of 42, and her controversial conversion to Islam at the age of 67.
