Venkatesh, Vikram roped in for Malayalam superstar Mammootty's The Great Father remakes

Malayalam superstar Mammootty's The Great Father is considered as one of the highest grossing films of 2017. The action-thriller, bankrolled by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran also marked the directorial debut of Haneef Adeni. Upon its release, The Great Father had minted more than Rs. 30 crore at the Kerala Box Office to become a clean blockbuster.

And now, according to the recent media reports, superstars Venkatesh and Vikram have been roped in for the Telugu and Tamil remakes of The Great Father.

Venkatesh is known for portraying the lead roles in the Telugu remakes of hit films. Be it Malayalam, Tamil or Bollywood, Venkatesh has already done Telugu remakes of most of the languages. The Telugu superstar's recent hits are the remakes of Malayalam film Drishyam, Akshay Kumar's Oh My God and R Madhavan's Irudhi Suttru.

The Great Father also marked the third Malayalam outing of Tamil actor Arya. The film also featured Sneha, Baby Anikha of Bhaskar The Rascal fame, Shaam, Mia George, Malavika Mohanan, Manikandan Achari and IM Vijayan.
