Kerala Box Office: Poor start for Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti

The much-awaited Kunchacko Boban film, Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti, opened to a below-average occupancy at the Kerala Box Office.

The film was expected to open big as the music of the film was received well by the audience. The initial reports of the film are average and the film will have to pick up in order to hold its own against Mudhugauv, which releases tomorrow

Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti revolves around the story of Vinayan, a young operator who works in his godfather's old cinema talkies.

The film has drawn flak for poor direction by Rishi Sivakumar - who is making his Malayalam directing debut - as well as the film's boring first half. Viewers claim that the music and cinematography of the film is its saving grace.

Film critics say that acclaimed actress Shamili, who is returning to Malayalam cinema after a long time, has been wasted in a small role.

Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti is touted to be an acid test for Kunchacko Boban, who has had bad luck at the Box Office with only two average fares in his last nine releases. And with Mudhugauv releasing on 14 May and 24 leading the Box Office, it will be tough for the actor's film to get back on track and post healthy numbers.
