US Box Office : Kabali off to a flying start, beats Baahubali's opening record

Rajinikanth's Kabali has opened with a bang at the US Box Office. The Tamil and Telugu versions of the Thalaiva-starrer premiered in the US late on 21 July.
It has been confirmed that Kabali has minted $1.45 million from its premiere shows alone.
As predicted by the producer, Kalaipuli S Thanu, the Rajinikanth-starrer has overtaken the previous record figures of $1.39 million set by SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning from its premiere shows in 2015.
According to early reports, Kabali is eyeing a massive opening weekend of $4.5 million to $5 million in North America.
