UAE Box Office: Mohanlal's Villain set to open big, emerges third biggest Malayalam release

Mohanlal's Villain, which had released in India on October 27th, is all set to hit the UAE/GCC screens on 2nd November. The film, an emotional thriller directed by B Unnikrishnan, starred an ensemble star cast including Manju Warrier, Siddique, Tamil actors Vishal, Hansika and Telugu stars Raashi Khanna and Srikanth. Villain starred Lalettan in the titular role of a retired police officer Mathew Manjooran. Upon its release, day the Mohanlal starrer created history by minting Rs. 4.91 crore to become the top Malayalam opener at the Kerala Box Office.

While Villain is continuing its dream run in India, the film is also set for a huge release in UAE as well.

Popular UAE distribution company, Phars Films which bought the distribution rights of Villain, has decided to release the film in a massive number of 80 locations across the UAE. Only two Malayalam films have so far managed to release in more than 80 locations in UAE: Mohanlal blockbuster Pulimurugan (82 locations) and Mammootty's The Great Father (81 locations). And with such a massive release, Villain emerges the third biggest Malayalam release in UAE.

Similar to Pulimurugan, the hype for Villain is also huge in UAE and it won't be any surprise if the latter film takes one of the biggest opening of the year across the cinemas of UAE as well.
