Last week saw the release of four films at the Tollywood Box Office. Telugu films Antham, Aa Mugguru, Iddaram and Bollywood film Sultan. However, it was the Salman Khan - Anushka Sharma-starrer which emerged a success at the Telugu Box Office.

The top 5 films of the week are:

1) Sultan: Hindi releases normally struggle to gain momentum if they clash with Telugu films at the Tollywood Box Office. But Sultan's case is very different as the Salman Khan-starrer tops all the Telugu releases of the week to become the numero-uno at the Tollywood Box Office. The best part of the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is that the film started getting additional screens, which is unheard-of for a Bollywood film in Telangana. Whether it's A, B or C centres, Sultan was unstoppable at the Telugu Box Office. The outright positive reviews from the audience has worked favorable for the film as well.

Rojulu Marayi movie still

2) Rojulu Marayi: After an average first week, the Chetan Maddineni - Kruthika-starrer Rojulu Marayi dropped considerably at the Box Office. The romantic comedy was expected to hold well at the Box Office, but it failed to survive the Sultan wave in it's second weekend. The film has been praised for the realistic scenes and an entertaining first half. However, it is heavily criticised for its predictable second half.

Bichagadu movie still

3) Bichagadu: Bichagadu, the Telugu dubbed version of the Tamil film Pichaikkaran has successfully completed 60 days at the Tollywood Box Office. The Vijay Antony - Santa Titus-starrer, which was released on 13 May, 2016, continued its dream run thanks to it's unique script and exemplary acting by the star cast. Written and directed by Sasi, the original version,Pichaikkaran was also a massive success at the Box Office.

Antham movie still

4) Antham: Antham was a disaster from Day 1 at the ticket window. The film marked the second outing of Rashmi Gautam, the anchor-turned-actress who made headlines with her sexy avatar in her debut film, Guntur Talkies. The GSSP Kalyan directorial was already in the news for its steamy scenes between Rashmi Gautham and actor Charandeep, of Jabardasth Comedy Showfame. However the skin show failed to attract the audience as the film bombed at the Box Office. At few cinemas, lots of Antham shows were replaced with Salman Khan's Sultan.

Aa Mugguru poster

5) Aa Mugguru: The last release of the week, the Chanti - Monica Srivastava-starrer Aa Mugguru opened at decent note at the Box Office. The film was released in limited screens and the performance was average throughout the opening weekend at the Tollywood Box office.
