Thrilled to be working with Rajinikanth sir: Aravind Akash

Actor Aravind Akash, who plays a Marathi policeman in Pa. Ranjith-directed upcoming Tamil film "Kaala", says he is thrilled to be teaming up with superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in his career.

"It's a dream role. I play a Marathi police officer and what makes it even more interesting is that my character's name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. Although I have started shooting, I'm yet to meet Rajini sir," Aravind told IANS.

Shivaji Rao Gaekwad is Rajinikanth's birth name.

Interestingly, the film has another character called Beemji, and it is named after B.R. Ambedkar.

Aravind is looking forward to meeting Rajinikanth in the next schedule. He didn't even think for a minute when he was offered the role.

"It's an opportunity to work with Rajini sir. Who would refuse? I have known Ranjith for a long time and I believe in him," he said.

The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Nana Patekar, Pankaj Tripathi, Samuthirakani and Sakshi Aggarwal.
