Think about the livelihood of lakhs of people working in the Tamil cinema: Rajinikanth to TN government

It's known that Tamil Nadu government has decided to impose double taxation on films as per the recently implemented GST (Goods and Service Tax). The new GST terms has affected the entire Tamil film industry leading to a closure of films across the state. From Kamal Haasan, Shankar, AR Murugadoss to Vishal and Siddharth, most of the Tamil film celebrities lashed out at the Tamil Nadu government over the GST issue.

And now, legendary Tamil actor Rajinikanth has finally broken his silence on the issue.

Thalaivar requested the Tamil Nadu government to seriously consider Tamil film's industry's request. He also asked the government to think about the livelihood of lakhs of people working in the Tamil film industry.

Rajinikanth took to his Twitter page to share the request;

"Keeping in mind the livelihood of lakhs of people in the Tamil film industry, I sincerely request the TN GOVT to seriously consider our plea". (SIC)
