Vijay is no stranger to setting and then breaking records at the Tamil Box Office. While most critics wrote him off after Puli, Ilayathalapathy struck gold with Theri.

Catch has previously reported about the records set by Theri. And according to the latest updates, Atlee's second directorial outing continues to break the Box Office records in Tamil Nadu.

Theri has crossed the Rs 1 crore mark from Chennai's Mayajal multiplex alone - in just 13 days to become the fastest ever film to do so.

The Ilayalapathy-starrer, which released on the auspicious occasion of Tamil New Year, 14 April, has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark worldwide in just two weeks.

The action-packed entertainer has collected Rs 71 crore from Tamil Nadu. The film also netted Rs 33.77 crore from the rest of India, with a whopping Rs 15 crore from Kerala.

Theri is performing well in international circuits too. At the end of Week 2, Theri has collected Rs 47.15 crore from foreign countries.

Going by the trend, Theri is all set to overtake Vijay's biggest grosser till date, Thuppakki's record of Rs 180 crore. Will Theri provide first Rs 200 crore grosser for Vijay? We will just have to wait and see.
