The Mani Ratnam film Kaatru Veliyidai shoot wrapped, release in March

The shooting of ​Mani Ratnam​'s​ '​​​Kaatru Veliyidai' has been wrapped up. ​Written, produced and directed by Mani Ratnam himself, the film stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari as the main lead.The film will be dubbed in Telugu language as well titled, Duet.

​Reportedly,​ Mani Ratnam ​has wrapped up ​Kaatru Veliyidai shoot with the final song canned in ​Serbia. The music of the film, composed by AR Rahman is expected to arrive in the last week of January.

Kaatru Veliyidai will see Karthi playing the role of an NRI pilot who falls in love with a doctor, played by Aditi Rao making her Kollywood debut with this film. Aditi's lead role was initially offered to Sai Pallavi, who made her acting debut last year with the Nivin Pauly-starrer Premam. The film also stars Delhi Ganesh, Vipin Sharma, Shraddha Srinath, RJ Balaji and KPAC Lalitha.

Earlier, Sri Thenandal Films, who acquired the Tamil distribution rights of Kaatru Veliyidai had revealed that film is all set to be released in March.
