The Great Father : Teaser of Mammootty starrer emerges the first Indian film teaser to cross 10 million views on Facebook

Malayalam actor Mammootty's upcoming film, The Great Father is slated to be released soon. Written and directed by debutant Haneef Adeni, the film has been jointly produced by Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, director Santhosh Sivan, Tamil actor Arya and producer Shaji Nadeshan under their banner August Cinemas.

While the film is few days away for its theatrical release, the first teaser of the film has set an unique record on popular social networking site, Facebook.

The Great Father teaser, which had released on 10 February 2017 has clocked 1 crore views on Facebook through the cross-posting method. And with this remarkable feat, the teaser of Malayalam superstar emerges the first Indian film teaser to do the same on Facebook.

The Great Father will feature Mammootty in the titular role of David Ninan Vedippara, while Arya will be seen in the role of Andrews Eapen Umbakkal. The film also stars Sneha, Baby Anikha of Bhaskar The Rascal fame, Shaam, Malavika Mohanan, Manikandan Achari and Mia George.

The Great Father is scheduled to hit the screens on 30 March 2017.
