Thala 58 : After Billa and Arrambam, will Ajith star in ​​Vishnuvardhan​'s period flick?

After delivering successful Tamil films with actor Thala Ajith, director Vishnuvardhan is all set for his next venture, which will start rolling by the end of 2017.

If Tamil media reports are to be believed, Vishnuvardhan has already approached Ajith to essay the main lead role in his film. Reportedly, the film depicts the era of Chola Kingdom in Tamil Nadu. Thala Ajith, who is currently busy with his upcoming thriller Vivegam has liked the script and is awaiting a final narration. It has to be noted that Ajith had previously collaborated with Vishnuvardhan in two of his biggest hits of the career, Billa and Arrambam. Also, the Veeram actor has recently expressed his desire to work in a period flick like Ashoka, which he had starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan. If the film works out, it will mark Ajith's 58th film of his acting career.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Ajith's Vivegam is currently progressing at a brisk speed. The film, touted to be an action-thriller, directed by Siva also marks his third collaboration with Ajith after Veeram and Vedalam. The film stars Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan as female leads. Vivegam also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi as main antagonist.
