Thala 57: Appukutty to co-star with Ajith in Siva directorial

Popular Tamil actor and National Award winner Appukutty aka Sivabalan has been signed on to portray a significant role in Thala Ajith's upcoming film, directed by Siva. The noted comedy actor was also a part of Siva's two other films with Ajith -- Veeram and Vedalam. Appukkutty will shoot his portions in US for over a period of 30 days.

The makers and the entire team are currently shooting the film in Europe. They are expected to come back to India before the second week of September.

Ajith portrays the role of an Interpol officer investigating a crime in Tamil Nadu which has roots across the globe, especially in Europe. Recently, the Billa superstar's look from the film hit the internet and went viral across social media.

Kajal Aggarwal portrays the main female lead as Ajith's wife in the film. The untitled film also marks the Tamil debut of Kamal Haasan's second daughter, Akshara Haasan as Ajith's colleague. The music of the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Thala 57 is slated to hit the screens worldwide in April 2017.
