Thala 57 : Ajith's film beats Vijay's Theri and Vikram's I record within the first schedule shoot

The shooting of Thala 57 has just started in Belgrade, Serbia, but the film has started beating the records set by Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Vikram films. It's widely known that the 57th film of Thala Ajith is produced by TG Thyagarajan under his banner, Sathya Jyothi Films. The film marks the third collaboration of Ajith and director Siva. Their previous outings, Veeram and Vedalam, were massive hits at the Box Office and the actor-director duo hope to score a hat-trick with Thala 57.

And now the good news for the fans of Thala 57 is the the overseas rights of the movie have been acquired by a foreign distribution company for a huge Rs. 20 crore, to become one of the highest prices offered for a Tamil film in the recent years. And with this deal Thala 57 unseats Vikram starrer I and Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Theri to become the fourth highest Tamil film with highest overseas distribution price. The first three spots were already occupied by the megastar Rajinikanth.

​Thala 57 also marks the Tamil debut of Akshara Haasan, who will play the role of Ajith's colleague. Kajal Aggarwal will play his wife in the film​.
