Thaanaa Serndha Koottam: Suriya's comedy thriller gets 'U/A' certificate, set for a grand release on Pongal
Tamil superstar Suriya's upcoming film Thaanaa Serndha Koottam has completed its censorship process on Tuesday. Directed by Vignesh Sivan and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green banner, the film is tipped to be the Tamil remake of Akshay Kumar - Neeraj Pandey's heist crime thriller Special 26.
On Tuesday, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam has cleared the censorship process with a 'U/A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.
Suriya will be seen portraying the role of Akshay Kumar in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam while Shivakami of Baahubali series, Ramya Krishnan plays Anupam Kher's role. Thaanaa Serndha Koottam stars Keerthy Suresh in the female lead and also have an ensemble star cast including Suresh Menon and Thambi Ramaiah. The film also marks the acting comeback of popular comedian Senthil after a 26-year-long gap.
Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is touted as the 35th film of Suriya and is all set for a grand release on the auspicious occasion of Pongal.
