The much-awaited Telugu film of 2016, Naga Chaitanya starrer Premam has crashed completely on its second Monday at the Telugu Box Office. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film was expected to recreate the magic of its original version, Malayalam blockbuster Premam, at the Box Office.

On its opening weekend, Premam opened to a terrific response at the Box Office and the Dussehra holidays worked in favor of the film. The film had collected Rs. 27 crore worldwide with Rs. 16.75 crore on its opening week. But during its second weekend, the film failed to gain the momentum and eventually crashed out completely on its second Monday at the Telugu Box Office.

By the end of the second weekend, Premam collected a decent Rs. 32.50 crore worldwide with a share of Rs. 20 crore. But the alarming factor is Premam needs to collect Rs. 3 crore more to be declared a safe venture for its buyers, which is looking a bit tough now. Also, the coming Friday will see the release of Puri Jaganath, Kalyan Ram's ISM, which will definitely affect Premam's collections. A worldwide share of Rs. 30 crore collection is now out of question for Premam.

Overall, Premam turned out to be a safe venture for producers as well as distributors, but not for buyers, who will now entail huge losses, for sure. Premam also stars Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian as female leads.
