Vikram's Iru Mugan has opened to a thundering start at the Tamil Nadu ticket window.
The sci-fi thriller, directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Shibu Thameen, stars the national award-winning actor in dual roles. Vikram plays the roles of Akhilan, a RAW agent, and an antagonist named Love.
According to early reports, Iru Mugan has recorded the best opening at the Chennai Box Office after Rajinikanth's Kabali and Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Theri. The film has released in 400 screens across Tamil Nadu and most of the shows have been sold out.
Viewers have showered the film with praise for Vikram's performance in the negative role. The film's USP is its extraordinary interval block.
