Standing ovation for SS Rajamouli's Baahubali at Pyongyang International Film Festival

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion is seven months away from its theatrical release. However, the first installment of the fantasy epic, Baahubali: The Beginning, is still making headlines over a year after its release.

The film was recently screened at the 15th Pyongyang International Film Festival in North Korea. Three shows of the film were screened. All three shows were booked to full capacity with each reporting an attendance of a 5,000-strong crowd. According to reports, the film was met with a standing ovation.

The film, which released on 10 July 2010 was a blockbuster at the overseas Box Office. Baahubali 2 - the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster - is slated to release on 28 April 2017. The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Ramya Krishnan in the lead.
