South Indian films are brilliant, can't wait for Baahubali 2: ­ MS Dhoni

The audio of the Telugu version of Neeraj Pandey's MS Dhoni: The Untold Story was unveiled in Hyderabad on 24 September.

The film, a biopic on the Indian cricketer and current ODI ­T20 captain, stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla, Kiara Advani, Rajesh Sharma and Disha Patani.

During the star-­studded event, MS Dhoni showered praise on South Indian films. "South Indian films are brilliant with lot of gifted actors and movies. We can actually see a lot of Bollywood remakes of movies from the south. The people over here have got some nice stories. They act well, direct well and fans are fantastic here too which is very important to make movies that can be appreciated," he said.

The event was attended by MS Dhoni and Baahubali director SS Rajamouli. The cricketer said he was excited for the sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which is slated to hit the screens worldwide on 28 April 2017. "I have seen Rajamouli's Baahubali and loved it. Now I can't wait for Baahubali 2," Dhoni said.

The two­-time­ World Cup­-winning ­captain also spoke of his love for Hyderabad. "I love the 3 B's of Hyderabad: biryani, bangles and biscuits. We get good support. here as Indian cricket team and we have very good record in Hyderabad for our team. It's a pleasure being here," he said.

MS Dhoni : The Untold Story is slated to hit the screens on 30 September.
